A North Texas land development firm broke ground on a 866-acre master-planned community in Anna last week.
Veritas Communities is building Liberty Hills, a development that will include more than 1,800 homes.
Construction is underway in two of Liberty Hills’ upcoming residential neighborhoods, called the Preserve and the Greens at Liberty Hills. The development is located west of U.S. Highway 75, between Rosamond Parkway and Mantua Parkway. Home sales are expected to begin in early 2027.
The Preserve will include 991 single-family homes, according to a news release. Meanwhile, the Greens will include 451 homes.
Single-family homes in the development will range from 1,800 to 4,000 square feet. Home prices are expected to range from $400,000 to $1 million.
Amenities in the two neighborhoods will include an event space, pools, playgrounds, a putting green and a fishing pier, according to the release. The development also borders the Hurricane Creek Country Club golf course.
Liberty Hills will also include a mix of shopping, grocery and dining options near the community’s entrance. The commercial area will be anchored by a Sprouts Farmers Market.
Veritas saw an opportunity to create a community that brings everyday life together in one place, said Kevin Lazares, co-founder of Veritas Communities.
“From groceries and recreation to time with neighbors, our goal is to create a place where residents can enjoy a full life with more of what they need close to home,” Lazares said.
